Jeeps are basically bricks on wheels, the absolute worst contender in a wind tunnel. Sure, some Grand Cherokees come with a Hemi, but for the rest of the line up it's a square peg in a round hole. Unfortunately there are not a lot of inexpensive options out there for adding horsepower. Depending on the model and year of your Jeep there are some ways of increasing the stock power. On just about every model a hi-flow exhaust and better intake is nice upgrade but only a small power gain. There are also superchargers, performance chips, better ignitions, and more to help move your tank along. For the ultimate power increase a complete swap is the way to go. Keeping your Jeep properly tuned up is the best thing you can do to keep the performance and economy where it should be.
